Remember, if a discount wood burning stove's blower is optional, then it doesn't have to have one (although it may produce more heat with a blower).

A log burning stove whose blower is not optional may need to have the blower running to not overheat, which can be an issue in a power outage. Make sure to check the stove instructions or with the stove manufacturer.
